Teacher education course for those working toward a California Clear Credential. Topics include techniques, policies and practices to insure equal educational opportunities for K-12 students with the variety of cultural, socioeconomic and historical backgrounds of students, faculty and staff now working in California schools. A weekly journey through the history of jazz featuring the sounds, images and performances of the art form.

A journey throught the history of the Mexican, Indian and European peoples who created New World experience and culture. Discussion include origins of influences that impact modern societies throughout the Western Hemisphere and specifically the United States..
